    Description

    Presented is a great quality American sterling silver teapot by Gebelein. This piece dates to around the mid 1900s. The teapot is done in a nice urn form with a dark wooden handle and a swirled finial. This is a fantastically well constructed piece, all hand hammered, in thick heavy silver. The handle is attractively carved from ebony, complementing the bright silver finish nicely. The side of the teapot has a monogram of 'SDB' in elegant script. The teapot has a capacity of about 4 cups, filled to where the pot starts to get narrow below the lid.
    This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no leaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
    The underside of the piece is hallmarked with the Gebelein maker's mark, 'STERLING' and 'Boston'.
    This piece stands approximately 9 inches tall and measures about 11 inches from spout to handle.
    This piece weighs 841 grams or 29.5 regular ounces.
