Complete kit.  but supplied WITHOUT  the internal batteries*
Requires TWO batteries:  a No 412, 22.5 volt (about the size of a 9 V battery) and a 1.4 V Mercury battery,  E12, about the size of a regular AA).
The 412 is readily available.
We believe the E12 can be replaced with a std AA, just probably won;t last as long as the original.
Note that
mercury
batteries, per se,  are not considered safe and are generally no longer available.
1.4V batteries are available(button cells), as well, with Zinc-air batteries probably allowing for the most accurate calibration..  And of course, there are USB variable dc power supplies available, which allow use of Lithium battery power packs
Perfect gift for the oenophile, vintage electronics collector or home bottler of wines(with corks).
This unit was used in the QC lab of a major wine producer
to evaluate incoming cork supplies
,
well into the 1980's .
OH and did we mention:  Should be PERFECT for checking moisture level for WOOD projects
* easy access - 4 small screws on front panel
