    Here's a rough translation of the Chinese writing on the back side of the paper:
    Currency for the Chinese ancient times, Both the gold and silver kinds were processed by scholar class and rich businessman, it is a precious item among the people and this ornament symbolize propitious,peace and felicity. It can mean “may all your wishes come true “ when you use as a official letter."
    The upper gold-colored portion is shaped like an oval bowl or basin.  It sits on a black base.  It measures about 2 1/8 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide by almost 2 inches tall.
    It weighs 5.1 ounces.
